The Clearwater Health Department has been a genuinely helpful place for several people in my life. While I haven’t personally needed to use their services, I’ve seen firsthand how important they are for people who can’t afford health insurance or who are going through a tough time. The staff has always been professional, patient, and willing to point people in the right direction, whether it’s medical care, testing, or general support. It’s one of those community resources you don’t fully appreciate until you see how much it matters to someone who really needs it. Clearwater is lucky to have a place like this — accessible, steady, and focused on helping people get the care they otherwise might not be able to afford.

I've been coming to this place for over 20 years, and in no time at all, it started to become a place I never want to return to. From being out of the clinic in less than 2 hours to wait 2 hours to be seeing and leave 4 hours after, just because they're not organized or lacking of communication between the staff. Sandy Watts doesn't treat patients well; if you say something to her, she contradicts you and doesn't look for solutions for them. Janet, the cashier, is a gossip and speaks ill of the coworkers to the patients. No one will ever be better than Lucy; she never she quit for a reason—they never valued her.

The nurse is very nice but I got here at 12:40 and the lady that was at the desk put my file in the wrong place so I’ve been waiting an hour for a simple TB time test so I can do home healthcare

I have chosen this health department for the last 20 years. Today I'm at my WIC appointment with my toddler who has a developmental delay and the woman who works in the middle cubicle did not give me her name but she has reddish orange hair and is Hispanic became cruel towards me because my child was running around and playing for approximately 15 minutes while we were watching cartoons and reading books. She gave me horrible impatient looks and told me it's my fault if my child gets hurt. I believe it's in the City of Clearwater's best interest to review her behavior and decide if it's a professional reaction to a patient.

My daughters were scheduled for the dentist and all had different appointment times three out the day they ended up taking them all back at the same time the office staff was amazing and so sweet! Super clean and fast and vocal about each step to each one of my girls so they weren’t scared.
